Nomad Shelter yurts use a 28 oz. Duro-last roofing membrane over the entire yurt for the standard yurt price. Nomad Shelter does this because it is the strongest most durable material available. It will not mildew, won't sustain a flame and has the highest UV resistance of any fabric we have found. The material comes in tan or white. All the seams are either micro welded or heat welded on the top. The eve detail is sewn, as are the walls. Nomad Shelter provide a 15-year warranty against any weather related leakage on the top with this cover material.
The yurt eve also has a facing on the inside that is distinctive to our design. This facing covers the join between the wall and the top at the grommet strip. This cuts drafts and stops insects from entering as well as the driving rain and snow that can be an issue in extreme climates.
The Nomad Shelter eve design includes a valance that extends out over the door that sheds the water away from the door and threshold. This distinctive feature makes the addition of rain diverting systems unnecessary. This addition provides an attractive fix for the problem of sheltering the entrance at no extra cost.

The wall detail includes facings around the windows enabling the insulating liner to be tucked behind six inches of fabric. This addition cuts drafts from coming up between the insulation and the interior.
The wall is constructed in sectional panels that zip and Velcro together for a secure and weatherproof join. The wall and window panels are made in custom sizes to suit your individual sites.
