Our Nomad Shelter yurts are built to be portable and set-up and taken down repeatedly. The larger yurts will take 2 days the first time with 4-5 people helping, the smaller yurts set-up can be done in a day with 3 people. That said there are many varying degrees of construction and practical ability among individuals and you know best how well you are able to set-up a yurt.
Inviting the construction guy down the street is always a good idea if you are the kind of person who can't tie a square knot. ...not that you can't learn to set up your yurt yourself! You Can! Its the first time through that is the biggest challenge, from then on its a piece of cake. If the floor is complete our experienced crews can set up a 30 footer in about 6-8 hours providing Murphy's law stays away. A 16 footer yurt takes about 3 hours, including time for tea breaks by the fire.
